"Michael is getting kicked out of his apartment," she said with a sigh.
"They're turning the building into a condo and the rent will more than
double. It's a good time for me to move out as well."
"Get a place together, is that what you're telling me?"
"It would make things simpler, don't you think?" she said.
"It would be the first step to loosing you," Jim said. "He can live
here."
She stood gaping at him in disbelief. "My God! Do you hear what you're
saying?"
"I do, now that I've said it."
"You would do that?"
"How would it be so different than what we're doing?"
"Oh, Jim.....I don't know......."
"Please......just give it a try," he said.
"I would have to see what Michael thinks."
